Michael Echavarria, MSc. is a cybersecurity governance and technology risk professional with 10+ years of cybersecurity and IT experience supporting private-sector, regulated, public-sector, defense, and federal-contracting environments.

His work focuses on vulnerability management governance, audit readiness, control evidence, executive risk reporting, NIST CSF 2.0, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, and other cybersecurity compliance frameworks.

Midtown Cybersecurity Group helps organizations strengthen cybersecurity governance, manage vulnerability risk, improve evidence readiness, and build practical roadmaps without taking ownership of client systems or operations.

Michael is currently pursuing a Doctor of Computer Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance at Colorado Technical University, with doctoral research focused on NIST Cybersecurity Framework governance and the use of artificial intelligence to strengthen cybersecurity governance and risk decision-making.
